What’s at the heart of MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company

Posted Apr 5th, 2017

The MidiCi pizza menu and our sense of community come straight from our open-concept kitchen

The kitchen tends to be the heart of the home. It’s where everyone gathers to connect and share stories over food. That doesn’t always translate into a franchised restaurant concept, but that’s where MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company is different.

The MidiCi pizza menu is authentically Neapolitan, and it’s meant to be shared with friends and other loved ones in the Italian tradition. It isn’t just our Neapolitan pizzas, however, that differentiate us from all those other pizza concepts. Our open-concept kitchen is key to setting the tone at every MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, allowing our guests to interact with our team members as they follow the winding marble bar to personalize their pizzas and salads. The kitchen is what we call the heart of our operation.

Our pizza, made according to 300-year-old Neapolitan recipes yet customizable to suit today’s modern tastes, combines with our unique dining experience to set our franchise apart from everyone else in our segment. The pizza industry generates an estimated $44.4 billion a year in the U.S.

When so many franchise concepts are flocking to take advantage of such a vibrant and growing segment, it’s vital to stand out. Here’s how we do that.

Wood-burning ovens imported from Italy reach temperatures of close to 1,000 degrees and bake the pizzas in about 90 seconds.

The heart of the matter

In the heart of every location, we house our ovens, kitchen and bar. Designed by renowned restaurant architect Sam Marshall, it’s like a real heart in that it’s key to all the vital functions. With our gold-tiled, Italian-crafted wood-burning ovens featured prominently in its center, the heart is remarkable from every seat. It brings friends together.

If you visit other fast-casual pizza places, you’ll see a homogeneity in design and function. They are meant to get people in and out quickly. They are so single-minded in purpose it can be difficult to distinguish one from another. At MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company, we created our space to invite guests to linger as long as they want. We want them to think of our place as their place. Our heart is always open to them.

Our concept is so unique we’ve created a new category in the pizza segment called fast-fine. That means our franchise offers an experience akin to fine dining while still offering the convenience and value of fast-casual.

Our product advantage

The heart of MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company is undeniably impressive, and the MidiCi pizza menu is no less so. Our menu was designed by native Italian chefs who are experts in the art of making Neapolitan pizza, and the selection includes classic choices like the basil-and-cheese-topped Margherita pizza along with more modern choices, such as the spicy Pizza Diavola.

Our entire menu, which is a modern take on time-honored Italian culinary traditions, consists of dishes made entirely of non-GMO ingredients. We also use the highest quality ingredients available, including fresh, whole-milk mozzarella; finely milled “double 0” flour imported from Italy for our dough; and potted herbs grown in our restaurants.

Our franchise locations also feature a variety of appetizers such as burrata or meat and cheese boards; salads; espresso and coffee drinks; desserts including gelato and a Nutella calzone; an expertly curated wine list; and a craft beer menu featuring locally made brews. Even among other Neapolitan pizza franchises, you can easily see how unique our concept is.
